Okay.. after taking a look at extreme4strokes and seeing what they offer I am impressed to say the least about the mods that can be added to make one bad ride out of my X-18 however this is where I need your assistance too. If I were to let's say go with the 114 or 131cc big bore kit with the cam and carb, are there other things I need to purchase to make this mod complete? Like for instance, do I need to have another exhaust and like wise another tranny? Will I need to send my engine off to get the conversion done or is it some thing your average heavy equipment mechanic with 15 years experience can do alone?
I guess what I am trying to get at is this..... Just as with the X-6 that my son and I dumped a buch of money and time into to get it the best we could get it, we would like to do the same with our new X-18. So, just how do we go about doing that?
Thanks!
I just ordered a x18 from a site that is under the subrate llc co. been reading a lot here about the bike to prepare for its arival. hats off to all you guys who take time to talk about your cool bikes.. one question, why remove and replace the oil that comes in it? also I found the manufacturers website with the specs for the x18. it is : http://buyang.en.alibaba.com/product...cket_Bike.html
it says it goes 60 kph. which equals about 37 mph right?

im thinking of changing my stock 14/38 sprocket set. I was wondering if the 17 tooth front one will still allow me to use the front sprocket cover and leave enough room for the chain and all.. im wanting more top end. also, i noticed the chain was scrubbing against the top edge of the swing arm assembly where it bolts onto the frame. I am thinking a bigger front sprocket will give me the top end I want and also raise the chain up a little in the front, helping it to not rub where it does now. I am thinking of going with a 17/28 set. I am only 110 pounds, so I'm guessing that because I am so light, this would be a great gear ratio for me. so, would this help give me get that top end I am after and also help eliminate some of that chain rubbing? also, is there any other solution to help stop the chain from rubbing there? I already tightened the chain so there is about 1/2in play in it. that seems to have helped. I was thinking maybe of putting a thick wide hose clamp around there. that would let the chain rub against it rather than eat into where the swing arm bolts up. any and all ideas or thoughts are welcome. an expert opinion on the 17/28 gear ration and weither or not it will allow the cover and chain to fit properly is also desperately needed. many thanks to everyone here on the pcoket bike planet. I have learned so much and gotten great advise from reading and asking members questions.
wait has nothing to do with topend.

that seems right.. cus that compared to stock si a big differnece.. of thinking of getting 17/28 only becuse im getting big bore kit /racing head/ racing camshaft..
and for exhaust and tranny.. they are staying.. i don't care much about exhaust.
