x19 speed

Ok so I just bought a x19 automatic and I took it out and I can't get it any faster than 25 to 30 mph I weight 155 so I don't think that 5 lbs will cause the bike speed to go down from 40 - 50 to 25 - 30. Anyone know what I could do to speed it up?
