49cc carb on Oneill Bro's Racing site.

I don't want to link since I'm not sure if it is allowed but I found a 49cc carb on O'neill Bros Racing site under their pocket bikes section. Is it easy to install this carb on an X2? Is it just a matter of bolting the new one on and reattaching the tubes? It says in the description: "Linkage is needed to run this carb." Not sure what they mean. Thanks much.

The linkage is a little metal bracket that you need to screw your throttle cable into. They are like 6 or 7 bucks if they dont have them seems to me hpminimods has them.

Or there you go a better example a complete kit, and from a site sponsor as well.

Sorry Ryan I forget about ddm.

Ah. Thanks for the info. Will most likely buy from you if I choose to do so. Don't feel like ordering all the parts seperate. So I will need to buy your kit + air filter?

I don't care where people buy stuff, although I'm always happy to offer our services . There are lots of good places out there.

I just believe that business should be done honestly and ethically, that's all.

You'll need to use a clamping style filter, of which there are many kinds: http://www.davesmotors.com/store/poc...cchpparts.html

Totally. I did't take your post that way at all. I appreciate you realizing that there are lots of people shelling out time and cash to help support PBP and the sport in general.

I was just trying to avoid people interpreting my post like I was saying 'no, buy from me! buy from me!"

Thanks again. Might have to hold off on getting carb though since the total comes to $87. Having the bike die whenever I'm not giving it gas is a bummer especially since I just got the bike but I can live with it until I come up with the cash.

Total should be a bit lower - you don't need to select the velocity stack option again because you already have one in the carb kit So a filter could be as little as $12 additional.

Thumbs up

Being a relatively new and growing sport , most PBP members have not yet experienced the great prices and superior service that DDM offers.
But ask any GoPedder , and they will tell you that these guys have raised the bar for all other dealers with extensive inventory, terrific prices and friendly , knowledgable service. I expect that PB enthusiasts will be equally pleased.
I am in no way affiliated with them and offer this info only as objective information to those considering a reliable source for thier PB stuff.

I plan on buying from DDM since they are a PBP affiliated vendor. Noticed DDM actually has honest speeds listed for their pocket bikes. Before I got my pocket bike I figured I wouldn't even put a cent into it except for gas/oil but after taking it for a ride and visiting this community I really want to be a part of the midbike/pocket bike scene. The only problem is I had no idea how expensive the parts are. I will soon be needing to find a job that is for sure.

Thanks

But you forgot to mention something else - so I'll do it.

Most PBP members have also not had the opportunity to get to know 'Hotscoots' - Mike Dean. He happens to be an experienced, level-headed, knowlegable 2-stroke enthusiast and the board is fortunate to have him here.
