Correct, many Ebay sites were selling the X2 with "3 gears"

Buy me, Buy me......I'm better.

Correct, no difference. X1 - without CVT or X2 - with CVT

Guys;

For the less than informed, CVT = Constantly Varible Transmission.

Thus the transmission can have infinitely variable ratios between the low and high points. This all depending on the drive wheel rpm and load placed on the vehicle.

Naming a # of "speeds" would be inaccurate and false advertising.

Question

can any one clear this up?

i have looked at alot of diff sites and i found that some X1,X2 have cvt... and some not.... what is the diff between the x1 and x2? i also have seen sprokets for more lowe end or top end... but only for the one with out CVT...why is that? can i buy sprokets for a cvt or not?... what do the guys that like to get the most performance buy, the CVT or standard?

how fast will a cvt bike go VS a standard x1,x2?

if any one could enlighten me that would be awsome

As stated earlier CVT and 3 speed is an oximoron.

The CVT is better most of the time and certainly in stock form it is better than any bike I have tested without it. There are sprockets available for CVT bikes, most sellers just have no idea what they have as the case with the bikes. The Cvt can vary your gear ratio, non CVT means always one gear. The CVT belts start to slip when you make some decent power but there are ways to manage that also. My opinion although some might not like it is always go with the CVT.

there are two styles of sprockets that I have seen on the CVT bikes, PBU has sprockets for both styles which can be indentified by the chain they use, one is a bicycle chain the other is called the fine chain model.
