Bad day..with some bad experiences - Someone wanna help? -PIX-
Dam..well I had a couple things go wrong today with my bike which I dont understand cause I didnt ride it for more than 10 mins. Well the first thing that happened was my right peg fell off..sux cause I really used it..then I decided to put it on the charge cause the battery was pretty much dead, since it just made little clump sounds every time I tried the electric start. But I found out my chargers not working or some reason..its not charging the bike. When I connect it it just stays green and doesnt do anything. Im pretty sure its not the fuse cause all the other electric including the lights and horn still work. Then I just got ****ed and wheeled it a lil further inside my garage and went inside..I goto my room a couple hours later(my room is directy on top of the garage) and smell gasoline..which I thought was pretty odd and thought it was myself spending too much time on my bike lol. But then in like 30 mins. my mom comes home and I go down to open the door for her when I smell gas again. I open the garage door and smell gasoline very strongly now..and look at my bike and its sitting in a puddle. So im like *** and I go see the problem is that my fuel line that goes from the tank to the carb(black line) has a little hole in it. Some people had mentioned before to me on these forums that these lines will deterorate in a while but I didnt think it would happen so soon, I mean I only had it for a lil over a month. So now I take off the whole gas tank and empty out the rest of the fuel..and Im pretty ****ed at this point. So while the drops are draining out I was just looking at my engine and I said before I was gonna paint my orange engine cover black so I decidesd to take it off right now while I had access to it. I took all the screws out and it was commin off pretty easily till I noticed I couldnt take it off with out take off the electric start. I didnt wanna mess with that because I dont know anything about it, so I just put the cover back on and left my bike. Also Im getting my new intake soon and I realized I wont be able to put it on because the two long screws holding in the back half of the stock intake are stripped..They came this way from the factory and I dont know how to get em out.
Now I need your guys help for all this..
I Need: A place to buy new pegs(besides DDM-I dont have 23$) New fuel lines(besides DDM-Im probably gonna get it here but wanted to know if there were any other places) Help with charger problem Help with talking off engine cover What to do with the two long stripped screws for the inake?
New fuel lines(besides DDM-Im probably gonna get it here but wanted to know if there were any other places)...
Sorry for the problem that you are having PyRo and it's a weekend .
I got my fuel line from a hobby store near my work for $2.50. Make sure that it is for Gasoline/Diesel. Almost made a mistake, good thing I asked a salesperson. It was around 3' long.
Well for your battery it sounds like it is charged and the electric start is not working witch is comon. for the stripped bolts try a impact driver to loosen them. hope this helps.
I use a pair of vise grips (the type that are like a needle nose or the small regular ones) for breaking loose all of my screws that give me problems and it saves me from having the same problem your having. Once you get them off replace them, you may have to go to a actual bolt supply place to get that length.
As far as the pegs, go to the classified area of this site and ask for them in the wanted section of the classifieds.
As far as the cover it's really not hard, all of the screws holding it on come off and the wire unplugs and the rubber boot thing just comes right out, just push it out through the cover, and it will go right back in later when you want to put it together and then just plug it back in where it goes. It connects to the electric start button with a white nylon like connector.
Okay, if you do not have the white harness on the coil wire then it should have removable spade connectors on the coil if you can lift the orange cover far enough to see. You may have to cut a few zip ties to really trace the wires for the harness. If not you will have to cut the wires and make your own reusable connections, but I have yet to see a bike that didn't have the harness connection. As far as the carb mount screws, an impact screwdriver should get those out without a problem, or you can use a 1/4" drill bit dead center of screw head until the screw head is pretty hollowed out but not to where you are hitting the metal plate right behind the screws. Once the heads get pretty hollow, about 2/3 gone, you should be able to wiggle it off the shank of the bolt with pliers or vise grips. Then just slide the carb off and use vise grips to get the rest of the bolts out and buy new ones. Take the old ones with you for proper sizing but I think that they are M6s. For the gas line, the local hardware, lawnmower shop, or auto parts store should have it, just take the old one so that you get the right size. As far as the charger, it sounds like you may not be lining the pins up right when you plug the bike up. Sounds impossible but double check that the groove in the charger lines up. When you don't get the light to change when you plug the charger up, it means that the charger isn't seeing the battery which is usually from not having the pins lined up because you only use 2 of the 3 pins. Good Luck and don't lose patience. These are pretty minor and common problems, and once you manage to get over these, trust me there'll be more but they won't outweigh the fun of the bike once you get the knack for wrenching on it.
my stock intake screwa did the sme thing, get you a cordless drill some easy outs and th proper drill bits, easy to do> oh yea, youll have to replace those screws. I got some allen head bolts from a local hardware store and they are much better. Hope this helps
For those 2 longs screw holding the intake on, mine were stripped too. What you do is place the screw driver in the screw and hit the screw drive with a hammer 2 or 3 times. Use a screw driver with a worn down tip so it fit the stripped screw a litter better and push on it while turning it. After hitting it with a hammer, it will break it lose and be easy to unscrew.
ONLY drill it out if the threads are stripped. If its the head of the screw just hammer the screwdriver and it will break it lose very easy. Hit it HARD if you cant seem to unscrew it. It WILL make it easy to unscrew.

you dont need to remove the electric start to remove the cover, just that long gold screw needs to be removed and removing the manual pull-start, then a wrench to remove that gold screw is all you need.
As far as your charging problem: I am guessing that one of the wires came off the back of the plug which is why the charger does nothing, this is extrememly common, just look at the back of the charger plug on your bike and see if the two wires are still attached.
Intake bolts: never attempt working on any Chinese bike without an impact driver, get some cheapy for about $10-20 at the hardware store, it will do you some good and you won't have that problem on your bike or around the house again.
Alright well thanks to srwsr-I got 2 things done at once. When I took some of the zip ties off to see if there was connector for the electric start, I found out why my charger wasnt workin..The two black connectors your see in the first pic is the reason why. I guess all that shaking actually loosened um but I put them back togeather and now it charges again. And when I took off the ties I also found out that there was a white connector for the electric start and I just snapped it out and took the engine cover off. The last two pix are of the covers..Before and After: I think the'll contrast nicely with the black chain guard and blue color of the bike IMO.
I also decided if I cant find any fuel lines around my area then I'll just get it off of DDM. So in all thats 4 things done...
..Now I just need to get those intake screws out..
Thanks all for the help so far

Reason: Forgot the pix, lol
Best bet on the intake bolts is like I said, find an impact screwdriver (about $7 @ Harbor Freight) or drill the heads slowly until they are hollow enough to no longer attach themselves to the actual shank of the bolt.
An impact screwdriver is a screwdriver that's designed where when you strike it with a hammer it twists to loosen a bolt. The pressure of the strike is timed with the twist to turn when the screwdriver is at a point where it wont strip the bolt head.
