all right scooter search is your friend, right?

depends how much you want to spend. this has been answered a lot of times. do a search for "top speed and mods to get there", that's a good forum.

but, if you're too lazy to do that, get an
air filter
v stack
carburetor
pipe
head kit

and for those check the sponsors on the top of the page.

Agreed. Check the site sponsors. Most of them have an explanation of what the mods do when you look at them. Only thing I can tell you though is some tend to exagerate the speed boost youll see.

I have a CatEye too!

Here are a few things right off the bat, tuning remedies that will help out your bikes performance before you shell out the big bucks...

Make (or buy) a stand; essential for tuning.

Use your stand to: Tune your brakes and chain. When I got my bike the back wheel would barely spin. The rotors (front too) were bent and rubbing on both pads, there was a 14" loop of extra rear brake cable rolled up under the engine and the chain was way too tight.

Just getting the wheels to spin freely will add a little pep into the bike.

Also; Use your stand to tune your carb. Unless your carb is tuned right, you can get EVERY performance part available, and you bike will still putt along, smoke and generally run like cr@p.

I have a stock CatEye, and I can spin the rear tire on it (on DRY ground). It tops out on flats around 30mph and it's not the fastest bike, but hey... I bought an 85lb bike, with the same size engine (essentially) as the mini PB's...
I just get as fast as I can, and ride a lot more comfortably!

Good Luck!
Also, I have a couple of free mods I did, you can check it out:

There's a generic how-to in the How to section (top of the Super/MidBike forums section) on how to tune the carb (actually a whole tune up I think)

Your carb is on the top of the engine, toward the front. It will have a black plastic cover (not the one above the starter/pull cord) that starts facing the front of your bike, and wraps all the way around the top (air cleaner cover). The cover will have one screw in front holding it on.

You can also find the lines coming out of your gas tank and follow those down to where they end (at the carb). Oh yeah, theres also a cutout in the left faring (left if your sitting on the bike) that you can reach through and turn the choke on and off. The choke lever is coming through the plastic cleaner cover.

There's a road map to find it Brother! There's also a pic of it in your manual, which you should read cover to cover! It's written in REAL BAD english, but there's still a lot of info in it!
Good Luck!
I'll write up a few specific fixes I did, and pass them along later today.
Off to work!

I just finished LONG DETAILED instructions for tuning a new CatEye. I don't like to spend hours typing out stuff like this and having the thread filled with filler posts that take it to 50+ pages, so I put it in the How-To section.
That way everyone can read it, and if they have a question, they can start a thread about that specific topic.
The last couple of How-To's I submitted were posted within a couple of hours (have to be approved). So hopefully they'll get it up tonight!

I'd hold off on any mods until you learn how your bike works and get it tuned up! If your bike isn't tuned right, your going to waste your money on bolt on goodies.

You haven't tapped your bikes current ability, after you do that you'll find out if you need more.
