Cateye Startup.....

hey guys my cateye isnt starting up. my friends say its the magneto. no clue what that is. can anybody explain why it isnt starting up? also, theres no spark, i checked it wit one of those testers, but the engine does turn over.Thanks guys.

OMG! You still havent got this thing started from like NOV/DEC when you was posting it wouldnt start before? What happened?

lol yea that one didnt work so i just gave up and i bought another one and this one also started having start up problems like a week ago. i guess i juss have bad luck wit cateyes..

1. i reccomend 32:1.........2. get a neew spark plug.......make sure there are no kinks in the fuel lines (my bike had the lines kinked)...........3 set the choke halfway......then try starting it up.......if it doesnt pm me or sumthing i have more tips

fuel isnt a problem, its just not getting spark bc i tested it with one of those spark testing devices and im 100 percent sure i tested it correctly.. do u guys think the wiring is messed up???

It depends. Disconnect all the wiring from the motor then check for spark again. An easy fail safe check for spark is leave the wire connected to the spark plug, hold it to the side of the headm then try to start. No start there reduces it to the plug, plug wire, or the coil. Start the cheapest (plug), then work your way up coil.

If you get spark with that way then its something in the electricals. Maybe the key switch.

wait can it run without a pullstart? cuz i dont have one on there and i only hav the electric start

finally got the dam bike to get started, but like the first 20 feet i rode it, the chain fell apart..dunno wut to do now.........HELP....
