Cheap speed?

I am getting my cat eyes in mail in couple of days..and what I wanted to know is how to make it go fast for cheao or for free...Is it true that if you cut of the muffler part it will make it faster? And is there a site where there are picture that show you how to take everything(engine) apart..with proper steps? I am sure you guys get this question alot, but I tried searching and couldnt find anything.

EDIT: also if someone could tell me:

Do the aftermarket mufflers really work?
Are there better tires you can buy?
and everything else I will need to know.....

try reading the faq. cutting off the silencer helps a little but its not worth the extra loud noise. Its bearly helps.

do the performance kits on ebay really work?

depends on which 1. Any aftermarket tuned pipe will give u a power increase when compared to stock. evena straight pipe is better then stock. Do a little search on the old posts theres alot of good info in them.

cheapest mod available:
running and losing sum weight

and most aftermarket pipes do work better
try and stay away from ebay tho... and PBU...
there the cheapo kind on ebay, and on PBU, u might as well be paying for actual chrome...

guess what i got my light to work today iDRo7 when e tester to the lights they strated to work.

what does this have to do withy anything?
