is the cvt trans/gear box a 4speed? trying to figure out because i want to modify my bike to have a 4 speed trans/gear box with cable cluth?

No. The CVT is a single-gear transmission, just like the stock Cag clutch. It just has a larger gear for the chain, and step-down gearing on the inside.

i have the fs509 cateye bike 49cc but i want to change the stock trans with moded 4speed if possible

I'm not sure if there is a 4-speed trans available for the Cateye. Have you checked around on some of the supplier sites?

no this is the gearbox.

The CVT is a real automatic transmission like any scooter or snowmobile, it works with a strap and 2 pulley, when one of the ulley open the ratio change.

CVT = continuous variable transmission.


If you need a 4 speed transmission, buy a 4 stroke engine, 110cc or more and weld 2 engine mount on ur frame.
