Fuel line and Filter ?

1st post but I've really enjoyed the forums. Really helpful info.

My fuel line on my X1 is smaller than 1/4" ID. and the fuel filters that I've bought are all 1/4". Where can I find a smaller fuel fillter? Or do I change my fuel line to a 1/4" ID like on my cag? If I do change the fuel line size, do I have to worry about leaks? Should I use zip ties or hose clamps to keep the line from leaking?

Do the rest of the X1s out there have the same size fuel line as mine? I just thought it was weird for it to have such a small fuel line.

Thanks for any advice
Jim

You can get small ones at places they have gas R/C cars.

Do all of the X1s have the smaller fuel line 1/8" or is mine just a fluke? Can I change out to a 1/4" fuel line with hose clamps or will that leak?

thanks guys

Hey Jim

I have an x2 also and just looked at the fuel line today. I also have 2 Cags they run 1/4" fuel lines. However, when i changed out one of my Cags to an ADA HP carb, the shop installed an 1/8" line and inserted it into my 1/4" line sealing it with a hose clamp.

Now regarding a fuel filter, i was thinking about that today and wondered if i need to replace the fuel filter...well, it appears that the fuel filter is one that is inside the tank and not necessarily the same inline one used for the Cags. So, i will probably do the same thing (1/8" inside 1/4") but i want to see if others's are putting inline filters.
