juice box and boost tube setup?

i have the ada juice box and i love it i feel it gives me great performance and really nice throttle response. i was wondering if i could combine it w/ the boost bottle for increased performance and more top end. or are these too products the same thing, both tuned resevoirs for the air fuel mixture so the engine can get it quicker.ive seen pbu selling dual boost tube kits and boost box boost tube kits in there packages. are they just trying to gowg as usual or is there some benefits too this type of setup.

I havent seen anybody run the dual set up yet. Probably cause the super beyond reasonable price pbu charges. from everything I've read though if you boost tube/ box total volume exceeds your engine size then it doesnt do anything, in fact it can actually reduce performance. PBU may have done the right thing and down sized both of them so that the combined total is 49cc's. If that is the case your getting the same effect as using one or the other and just paying an a$$ load of money so something can look and gee-wiz.

For optimal performance, a 'boost bottle' should contain the same volume as the cc's of the motor. Adding additional volume or additional bottles will DECREASE performance.

I cant justify thier prices for anything in my mind. Like thier basic carb, boost box, filter set is $276

Look at the picture its an ADA racing juice box:

http://pocketbikesunlimited.com/imag..._juice_box.JPG

You can buy that direct from ADA for $60
A 603 carb w/ throttle cable bracket is like $50
and a billet filter is what around $40

So you talking like $150 total. I dont see where the other $120 bucks they charge comes from. Must be one dan expensive decal they put in with it.

I definitely wouldnt buy anything from them but I would buy some stock options though.

Thumbs up

I agree. Using more than one boost tube (juice box/boost box/boost bottle) will decrease the performance instead of increasing it.

Yea..but some1 on the old PBP said that boostboxes, tubes, ect., had to to be somewhat smaller than the engine size becuase the line that connects the boost tube to the intake manifold has to be calculated into the engine size with the bottle/box..

So thats another thing that can decrease your power..

Yes, the volume of the line also contributes.

Like in the old thread people were using empty NOS octane bottles which are bigger than like 5 carbs stacked on top of each other and had a line run from the carb to them which was mounted on like the chain guard and up under the seat. crazy stuff.

My 2 favorite home made boost bottles of all time had to be the frapachino bottle one and the cologne bottle. Not only do you get the superpower of a boost bottle but you can drive down the road humming the sanford and son theme to your self.

I have the 16.5mm walbro remote-pulse carb. from PBU and it really improved my performance over the stock carb. Will the addition of a boost bottle add anything or does the return line from the extended intake do about the same thing?
