Re: Mods for the x7

That's the wrong pullstart it's for the 47cc & 49cc cag motors. You need this pullstarter. ww360
Now for your other parts you need parts that either say they are for a X-7 or 43cc and 49cc motor and not any from the 47cc and 49cc. So as long as it says 43cc and 49cc most parts will work. The exhaust is the only part you need to get thats says it for a X-7. Now the only other part you have to watch out for is the pull start cause there is three different pull start for your type of motor.

Ok cool, I figured that out. Now about the boost bottles..Do you think those are a good mod? Not nitrous, just the boost bottles?

Yes I think a boost bottle is a good mod if it's made to the right volume of the motor it's going on with no leaks and is setup right.

Re: Mods for the x7

Boost bottles are mostly ****e, at least according to the majority of those who have tried them on various engines. But as StrayDawg63 says, they can also do some good!
Yamaha had "boost bottles" on their RD's, (Probably not ALL RD's but many of them.) it can clear out annoying flatspots but they can also make it worse if they are the wrong size. I have no idea what size it shall be on a cag though. Probably very small, like the size of a chopped off finger! That's the size on RD350 anyway. Maybe the size of one chopped of finger, but split in 7 parts, (350/7=50) and then you take one part for 50cc's? Hehe, naah I dunno.

Edit: I personally wouldn't waste my money on a boost bottle simply because it is a big risk that it doesn't do squat to performance. I would save them for something else. But that's me...

Re: Mods for the x7

i would start with the hp carb and filter with the hp exhaust...then go from there once you have them installed and tuned...go to the gears and find the right gear set-up for what type of speed you want top, middle,or low end .....
