Dan, that's lookin awsome!
Your totally on the right track. You won't be ably to use the original sprocket that's bolted to your wheel though.(as you probably know).Go to your local motorcycle shop and ask them to ordet you a "blank sprocket" 420 pitch (honda xr 50).
and then all you have to do is drill it out for your wheel, no sweat.
And don't forget your gonna need linkage for your shifter, or flip it upside down, see how close it gets.
Any way looking good dude.
Heres one we just completed.

Don't forget to check for clearance for the chain under the lower frame rail, I had to notch ours, and channel it.

Half the fun is getting there.

When you want to do your engine, let me know.My xr 50's pushing 90 kph's.
I let you in on some performance tips.

I happen to work at a steel factory, so I was able to get rectangular tube, just like your main frame, anly thicker .095 to be exact. So it's real thick.
What I did for the chain though was this.
I totally removed the lower crossmember.Once it was gone it was replaced with the thicker crossmember.Once we knew where the chain was going to hit, a notch was cut into the crossmember. Now theres a hole half way through the member.we just cut another piece of tube in half and welded it into the hole. Now you have a channel in the crossmember, that should be welded solid, and doesn't interfere with the chain.
I'm going to the shop tonight, I'll snap some picts so can follow what I mean.Pictures worth a thousand words.
see what I can do.
