I'm new to 2strokes, how does that ruin the piston, does it get to hot or sumthin? i have a spare motor in the garage should i take the piston from it?

Also are there governers on these things?

No, dirt will get into your piston from riding and destroy it.
Some of these bikes such as the X7 have governors and some dont. Do a search.

Thumbs up

47+ mph on a radar gun! I have seen over 10,800 rpms out of my sooo slow 49cc X2 engine with the Proline pipe! While driving at WOT the tach was reading 9,280 rpms under full load. This engine still has the stock carb on and the air filter is the only aftermarket mod.

I only.....
1-installed Air filter w/stack
2-cleaned up the ports some/windowed the piston
3-installed the Proline Racing pipe--30 min. including making new gaskets
4-tuned CVT----------------------hours of tunning

With only these 4 modifactions my X-2 (with CVT) is pulling these rpms running the stock gearing. Top speed has been measured at 47+mph. I know this is hard to believe but I have my own shop and do alot of tunning on my bikes to make them run as well as they do.

I will be testing a PBU Reed Inducted Engine on my bike with the 257 carb kit and new aadjustable stinger tip! This will tell how good my inhouse engine holds up to the PBU kit!

It's amazing to me how much PBU's new pipe is just like my Rattlesnake pipe that's been on the market since Nov. of 2004. Proline is truly the only one that's had any new pipe ideas in the pocket bike industry! LMFAO

ok ok .... at the time mods were dual reed setup, gearing and filter.

so I guess you could call it a 6.2 without the pipe. but it is originally a 4.2.

Who are you and what is a Rattlesnake pipe? If your talking about Prolines pipe I already have one and have a good relationship with Kirk at Proline. I just wanted to try PBU's new pipe. It is not a Go Ped pipe modified to fit an X2(which I like very much) but a new design in itself. I am not biased toward wither company but give each equal respect!
