If it is an older one you will have to lengthen the stinger for Top end tunning! I hit 47 with the short stinger(original). My bike is only running a Proline pipe, a filter/stack with a in-house modified cylinder/piston and gasket matched manifolds! It even has the stock plug and carb on it. No key or lightend flywheel, no gutted starter or any thing. She pulls the front wheel off the ground when I put the 14 tooth front sprocket on! Kinda funny it only tops out around 30 with that sprocket. If you hit 32-33 on the winter indoor track your doing better than most.

I have the new PBU bazooke pipe (that is just like the Pacsales) with 4 adjustable stinger tips. After I run the tests I will let you know if our results are conclusive.
Later,Troy

bottle custom aluminum intake. ported
intake and exhaust and head was milled.
stock gears 16mill carb and 114 octane.
x7 41 mph. same mods as above. except
speed sprocket was added.
x7 #2 same mods as above with stock gears
38 mph.
all 3 motors are 2 stroke 49cc and
spin at 10,500 rpm.
I also have 2 other x7's and a C1 but havent

pipe testing

I tested my Proline pipe with some new gearing changes and the bike literally jumped off the line and wheelied for around 6 feet without trying to keep it up!

Then I changed the pipe and only pipe to the Pacsales with changeable stinger tips and the bike fell flat on its face compared to the Proline pipe!
This is with the longest stinger for top end power! I will change stinger tips to see if I can get good results. It is 9 degrees up here and 2-4 inches of snow on the ground so its hard to do testing sometimes!

With the stock gearing it goes 47mph on a radar gun! I will test the bike with the 14/54 gearing to see what top speed is now. I am guessing around 30+. I have a club and race indoors for the winter. The longest straight = around 30mph tops in the straight so this gearing should be perfect for getting out of the corners.

We have gotten my X-7 with motor from PSWS up to 57 on the GPS. this was straight and level ground at 1am really cold out, the bike seemed to like the cold air. Still have to do gearing and piping.. and am thinking about doing and air intake mod. The bike really doesnt feel unstable anymore at that speed.. but I know the stock brakes arent meant to handle that speed.. so I am going to be getting those shortly first

Hey Minister S,

Did you pick up the PSWS headkit with the Reed Valve and porting job? Did u upgrade the carb and Exhaust aswell? I'm trying to decide on which one to go with, either the PBU headstrong kit or Prolines version.

thnx

The Kit that I got was the 49cc headkit with ReedValve and Port and polish work. Had a larger piston head. Also the carb kit that came with the kit is much better. But Matt said that the Stock exhaust works very well with the kit, so I left it on .. But I am thinking of getting everything else.. Exhaust, Gearing and Weight Reduction.

Gary at Alien Motors gauranteed that I would be one of the Fastest bikes here in Vegas, and he is totally right. Not like a Blata or anything, but I am passing up alot of cags aslong at I have a nice enough straightaway.

Thanks for replying back. Yeah, spoke to Matt who got me stoked on buyin the Kit. Pointed out that I should have it ported to get the best performance out of it. Can wait t'ill my tax return. Gearing definately helps out a lot. I'm satisfied with the 20t/54t setup.

Nothing but a tuned carb on X1, and a Schwinn Digital Speedo with the wheel circumference at 1035mm like stated in the tutorial and I hit 33.7. I think that was going a bit down a slope though. 33.1 was going on a straight road.

Cat eye 43-45mph using car & truck

Mods:
Engine 43cc
ADA Aluminum V-Stack & Fiter
23 tooth(front) & 36 tooth(rear) sprockets
Ported & Enlarged Intake and Exhaust runners (Machined piston skirt for exhaust port)
EBay Poop Pipe
Advanced Timing(with no key)
Stock Carb (tuned by me)
Homemade Boost Bottle
Clutch Spring Modifications
100:1 Synthetic Oil/Gas mixture

I am 5'-11" @ 214lbs
It takes some help to get started, but after the powerband kicks in, she flies!
This was done on a flat road.
I am replacing the 36 tooth sprocket with the stock one simply because if there is any incline of the road, it is hell to get up to speed. And that is if I can get up to speed. If I can reach the powerband, I'm OK, but if not, I'm S**T OUT OF LUCK!

lol you lot can get good speed for a 2 stroke
i seem to reach the max on my normal x7 speed meter ( so like the needle would reach the end but it was a extremely long straight to reach it ) i was in tears lol a good thrill even if it was only 30mph..
i hope my bike could do 40mph+ one day lol
