Re: Put down your top speed

Today: First real run with the new pocket quad, 47cc Pocket Quad Stock, 5'6" 200lbs rider, 42 mph. Clocked with a police speed trap box at 2:37p.m. 64deg and clear. THAT’S THE GOOD NEWS! THE BAD NEWS IS this thing is scary unstable, if your not ready for it you could easily roll it! Once your up just past mid range it really hauls (GOOD) and also starts weaving all over and almost bouncing (NOT GOOD). I can adjust the alignment but still I don’t thin it would be safe at top end. Don’t underestimate these things cause someone can very easily get hurt, they have very powerful little 47cc's in them and like I said are unstable at best when you get then up there! Has anyone else had this experience with these? WOW!

42mph? on a stocker? can I see some video? I got one thats got a jetpro, fiberglass reed, ported carb, ngk plug, lightened flywheel and a 64 tooth rear sprocket.....no doubt,it's fast - but not 42mph fast, especially with my kid on it who has ZERO fear and weighs just about a biscuit under 60 lbs....

that would be like 20 K rpms. sprocket?

Stock X7 with drilled airbox. 31.5 MPH on GPS. I ran out of room, it had a little left.

Re: Put down your top speed

my x1 hit 26 on GPS today, it has a swapped 49 cc motor in it , the 43 cc actually felt faster, but its out getting ready to work it over and see if it can hit closer to 40.

yea i have an x7 and it was clocked at 25 uphill. and it wasnt even fully broken in yet nor was the governor taken off. (yes all stock) so i think it will be able to go pretty fast with a sprocket or something. The speedometer will say like 15 thoguh when im clearly goin at least 25 0r 30.
