rocket key advanced timing and carb tuning

ok ive got a wt668 hp carb, exhaust, vstack/filter, one less weight on cvt pulley, and rocket key. i had the carb tuned as good as it would get before i put the new key in. but now that i have it in i have to retune the carb. the low setting was easy. did it in idle. but im having trouble finding that high setting. i understand that the advanced timing causes the motor to run rich. so in turn i leaned out the low f/a setting on the carb to a nice low idle. but on the high f/a setting do i wanna be lean or rich to get the optimum performance and top speed? i understand that i want to be as rich as possible without losing power when adjusting the high f/a setting. but is that only with stock timing or does it not matter? if it doesnt, then i should set the hi f/a screw leaner than it was before right?

just trying to get a ball park idea of where to start tuning from. that way im not starting the tuning from an already lean position.

You have to ride the bike and adjust the high accordingly. You have to feel or see your way through it. I have a different carb (the Storm Race Walbro Pulse Carb from 4myscooter.com) and mine was 3/4 turn out. Everyone's settings are different, even with the same carb. You just have to find the right one. I'm still looking for mine btw.

Off topic: Does anyone know what carb is the one that I got. Dehl's didn't reall tell me what it is. Here's a link to it:

somewhere on the carb should be stamped with it's number.

Off topic to Backwoodz:

I got to take a look at it again tonight, but I think that it said Walbro 55b. I have never heard of a 55b carb discussed here on the planet that is why I was wondering. Thanks.

Now back to topic
