One thing you can do to get less restriction in the driveline is to take away the original grease in the transmission lump, and then put other grease in there that doesn't restrict as much. You want to change that grease once in a while anyway, so make sure you put something good in.
I used wheel bearing grease, it "floats" much easier (not sticky as the original grease was) and it worked fine.
Then lube the chain, it will make it spin easier.
Check the tire pressure, if it's too little air in then it can be harder for the bike to roll. Try it with a bicycle if you want, let some air out and go uphill. The bicycle will roll very bad, almost like it stops when going downhill lol!
And check the brakes as the previous writer wrote.
You might also want to check/replace the wheel bearings for better ones.
