X1 APC Replacement Chain

So, I have no chain. I have the old one, still. It says "TEC" or something like that on it. I measured, and it's about half an inch(.5in) pin to pin on the chain. I read somewhere on here, around page 7 or 8 or so, that I could use an ordinary bicycle chain. I just want confirmation on this is all.

Well, it doesn't matter what any of you say now, because I just bought a bike chain from Wal*Mart, and I'll let you know how it goes. If the chain ****s up, I'll just return it and say it's a piece of scheisse. lol

Didn't work. Gonna send it in with my mom later this week so she can get store credit. The chain was a little to small.

Re: X1 APC Replacement Chain

So, I've discovered I need a 410H or a 410 chain. They're used on BMX bicycles too, so that's where that bit came from. The closest thing I can find in my area is a 415 chain designed for use on motorcycles. The only problem is that it's wider than what I need and I'm not sure how that will affect things if I use that instead, so I don't really want to find out anything negative the hard way.
