X1 Help!!

Okay well i my X1 eletric starter isnt working. Everytime i try to start it, it would just buzz, and i charged the batt. I would also want to know how i know my ignition coil is still good. I just changed the spark and my pull cable just broke on me, so i have no idea motor even works still. and when i had it before, it would take me more than 25 pulls just to get it started. Can someone help?

Well it sounds like your going to need to get a pull starter so you can check for spark. Is the buzzing coming from the eletric starter or from under the gas tank? Than you should get a new spark plug and reset the carbs mixture screw to 2 1/2 turns out.

Re: X1 Help!!

Yes that site is trustworthy. They have been around for more than 4 years. I wouldn't send you to a site if it wasn't. Theres really not alot .you can do without a pullstarter or with a broken carb. You can take off the gas tank and hit the starter button and pin point the buzzing. I think it is the silinoid that is buzzing. What do yoummean you don't have a choke? Is your air box missing or is it broken? You should just get a V-stack with a choke and a airfilter.

Re: X1 Help!!

Don't even order a pulley, just buy a new battery for the bike and the electric start should work...

Re: X1 Help!!

$60 the maximum for a good one and you won't need to worry about any pull starting, nothing.

Re: X1 Help!!

... well obviously the battery is functional ... it has a very low battery but you won't get the motor to turn over with such a low level of energy
get a new battery and get your bike started
