| Re: X1 question/ build When the bike dies when the throttle is released even with the idle set it means you have too much high speed needlejet setting and not enough low speed needle jet setting
On the top of the carb is a slotted brass screw that holds down the rotator...Its also the Lowspeed needle.Its supposed to be set 1-1/4 turns out...If its loose after setting take a couple drops of tire slime or superglue to hold it in place when it dries...dont use loctite..It eats plastic up.....
On the side of the carb is the high speed needle..Its setting is 1-1/4 - 1-1/2 turns out..
After setting both and starting up the bike you set the idle which is the small silver philipshead screw
When you get a new manifold make sure when you install it so all the purgeport holes line up perfectly within the gaskets,manifold and carb.............Peace
