Question X5 needs a bit more go...

I have recently picked up an X5, fun little bike but I would like a bit more acceleration without killing top end. I have been trying to find somebody who sells CVT's but I have had no luck. Can somebody please point me in the right direction here?

Also while I have your attention I pulled my carb off and found some odd stuff going on. 1. instead of having the typical butterfly carb I have a rotary carb (rotating barrel in the carb instead of a butterfly) also when I pulled the intake there are no reeds, nor is there a reed cage. What gives?!? Anyway any advice would be great!!!

Get a air filter & v-stack, HP exhaust, Lighten the clutches, rocket key and If you add a CVT you will have to turn your motor around Get a different exhaust, line up the sprockets move brake to the other side, mod the frame for chain turn motor mount around and some other things that will popup.... So I would just mod what you have....

The Cvt changes the direction the motor is turning. The motor turns one direction and the CVT turns the other direction...

Is it located in the handle itself?

Take the two screws out of the throttle grip housing the two screws above the starter button and open it up and theres may be a 1/2" long piece of tubing ( metal, alum,or platic ) right in the front of the housing just above the starter button take it out if your bike is broke-in......
