X7 Charge Question

Hello All,
I have an X7 and as you know it does not have a charge adapter. Does anyone here know how I can charge the battery with a battery tender without having to take the batter completely out of the bike? The X7 is supposed to have a charging system built in, but after having it for almost a year, I have yet to get it to start with the electric start. I still have to use the pull cord to get it started.

Thx in advance,
Kas

Re: X7 Charge Question

Hi,
If you haven't charged the battery for almost one year I bet the bat is out.
A 12 volt lead battery should not be left uncharged for a long time.
When the voltage goes below about 10.5V the bat is hurt and may not survive.
If you connect a bat charger make shure it has a 1 amp current limit.
You can connect the charger between the fuse terminal and ground (frame)

Mike, thank you, but how do I connect it between the fuse terminal? The fuse is incased with a screw on top. If you could explain, or show pics that would be great.

Thx

Re: X7 Charge Question

I Usually Use A 4 Gauge Wire And Jam It In The Fuse Socket And Tape It In - Then I Hook Up The Positive Termial To The 4 Gauge Wire
And Ground It To The Frame

Good Luck
