X7 Speed

I recently bought an X7 online and most of the websites i looked at said it did up to 45mph. When I ride it I only get up to 32, which i tracked next to a car. I only weigh 150lb. Is 32 gonna be my top speed without upgrades?

That sounds about right. The X7's vary in speed from 29mph to about 35mph. I am 250lbs and my bike does about 34.5mph using a GPS to record the speed and my bike is stock too.

Your lucky you even go past 30 some people get "bad" bikes and end up going 20. Its weird. If you get high performance parts you will get a difference dont worry.

Ofcourse thats a given. With after market parts you can make that bike do just about what ever you want it to do. It just takes a little patience with the tuning afterwards.

Yeah You should tune the carb, youll be getting alot higher RPM's and alot more top speed so maybe then itl be closer to 45 lol. i ordered a filter,v-stack and pipe too from Davesmotors recently so im hoping for a gain in speed . did you order a v-stack w/ choke or not

look forward to it, the v stack and filter added 5 mph to my bike alone

and no, that is not a total crock, it really did.

I have my new X7 and I am seeing now a "SL X7". Same specs. Is there any real difference?

And yes the V-stack I ordered does have a choke.
