Is there a way to get a better OFF THE LINE launch?? I am 6'1" about 200lbs on my new x7 and woud like to know if in fact i even need a good off the line speed for racing or is it just a momentum thing. I have a V-stack, air filter, and a "boost" bottle. Thanks

I`ve heard of some people going up to 45mph.I`ve talked to Kirk at proline and said he knows of someone that went 40 and 45 out the box.Must be lucky...Just like the cags,if you get lucky enough, you get the cag with the big bore already in it.Factory Freaks!!!

I would suggest to get a tuned pipe first, then a walbro carb for better throttle response off the line (and corners). If you are running on a track maybe a bigger sprocket. Oh yeah, a big kick off the line will help too .

same here, i was running around and buried the speedo at 30, all at stock. its pretty sick. I've got to do some tuning though. I feel i can get more out of this bike at stock. looking at a pipe to be the first thing to drop on. filter and a spark plug.

I am not sure on my top end yet, but last night I noticed that there was a regulator screw for my throttle that I needed to take out. I wasnt getting WOP with the way it was set. Now it is much faster. I am not sure if it is faster than my hf cag though but I will get that tested soon. Although I do have an opportunity to put in a 60cc dirt bike engine that I may swap into it just havent decided if I want to put that much money into it? ALl in all it is a real nice bike though and has much more power than I thought it would have for a midi size bike. That and it looks bad a$$. with the R1 stickers on it it sure looks sweet!

My speedo reads 60 mph and it will go 42 on the speedo stock. How accurate are the stock speedos?weve run against a HF cag and it just pulls me up top.Bottom sucks but it tops out good.By the way the HF has run against a moped and it said it was doing 40+mph.

Thumbs up the stock speedos are a joke

This is a great bike but,

the speedos are A joke...Just like the so called CVT in these bikes...the gear ratio in the gear box that alot of people think is a cvt is not bad though. the truth is that these bikes out the box( after removing the governer, yes aka speed limiter...factory installed if you have an aarvi manufactured bike ) is 25 to 30 mph. If you tune the carb right and break the motor in like you are supposed to then look forward to 30 mph. I need to get my digital cam working or buy a new one... I will take a pick of one of the shops project bikes reading 30 maxed out on the speedo with the gear box disengaged, the bike standing still. the reading comes from the motor not the rear wheel or gear box...

My X7 does 33mph (tested with a GPS unit) on free mods- no air cleaner no throttle govenor, and tuned the stock carb a little- test done on level street, about 75deg. out, no wind, 175lb rider with a Garmin Streetpilot GPS. I would say impressive for this cheap thing!

I measure the tire circumference and it came out to 40" = 1016mm.

Did you measure your wheels or you got the measurement from somewhere?
