keep a bottle of carb cleaner close..it will get dirty. LOL.

I suggest taking the Cag wheels and fitting them onto the 2.5, it'll make a huge improvement in handling. If you do a search you'll find details on how it's done.

Congrats!

yeah the first thing I'd do is a 6.5 wheel conversion and slap in a 14/14 sha carb. second thing I'd go for is the zocchi 2 shoe adjustable clutch on ebay and upgrade to a 4 petal reed cage, either the ADA, IP2, or the giannini will do... you can do other things but these are a few of the basic things I'd do as far as upgrades...

con grats on your 2.5!!!

Nice upgrade but dont forget where you came from.Thats like saying I had gold now I have a diamond. My cag has been good to me.Maybe you just got a lemon from factory. If you wanna start racing and get some exp is a blata the way to go?Is a blata a good starter bike?I beg to differ.Cost more to replace parts when you lay her down.

I own both... cags need more maintenance and I've layed my blata 2.5 a few times at the race track and nothing broke, maybe a few scratches but no cracks on the fairing... its a different story on my cag with its plastic fairing and cheap bolts that tend to strip or break. not to mention cag pegs are a joke! cags do need more attention even if it isn't a lemon. come on, just look at the quality!

hehe

oops kinda missed that. I also notice that the blata is a bit easier to work on as well. The carb slides off after you loosen a screw. I dont have to take on the airfilter and remove several bolts like I did on the cag.

blata:2
cag:0

My cag always was craptastic even before I got the blata. Ive had the cag for a year. it only ran for 2 months. and when it did run it didnt run right. I might try to fix it again I might not.

If your talking about the 2.5 BlueBird then no it doesnt have a full circle crank. The China Cag FCSC wont fit either. The pic below is the BlueBird crank.

I've always wondered what the crankshaft on the 2.5 looked like and that's just pathetic. No offense intended, my kiddo races a 2.5.

darn

I a sad monkey now.

ok does blata make 6.5 wheels that will fit my bike? I know the cag back wheel is a direct bolt on. but the front sounds like a pain having to fabricate a spacer and all.
