i recently upgraded my tai chi to a blata monster
got a "16hp" wc race prepped 40cc 5 port motor from blata canada
after a few mods (rad,water bottle,etc) i installed a zocci pipe
everything else is china
gp3 19mm carb with quick throttle (china)
this thing rips
i am just wondering if this setup would be competitve with other open euros
eg,bms kids phat bikes grin and berrit?
after getting spanked in calgary im on the quest to be competitve as possible
my rider skill is above average
or are there more things that need to be changed due to poor construction
hey device is that you? i ran verns blata b1 with one secret mod in it and finished 4th in the first race and 2nd the next i may have been able to get first the first race not sure i whipped out at my only chance but it was a rocket so im sure that you will do fine
no its brett also from island
it rips but i wanna beat those bms kids
bikes being equal i might have a chance although i still have 60+lbs on them
next year hope to hit lots of races around western canada

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. You sure those aren't "chinese" HP? Like the ones they quote in all their literature about their bikes? I haven't seen a 40cc Blata engine that puts out more than about 11 HP at the crank. I'd be cautious of an engine claiming that power. Next they'll be telling you it will rev to 18,000.

i have put a wrs with 19mm carb on the dyno (amerschlaeger p4) a year ago, it had 11hp at the rear wheel. including the 25% losses this means around 13.8 hp at the crank. the 25% losses are no guess, they were measured, too.
this is a wrs motor
built by blata uas in florida
and sent to us through blata canada
also i run a 19mm carb
so far im inpressed
way faster than any of my chinas
tai chi/gp3 reverse
also freinds ci/e13/c2/911
way more bottom way more top
beats my buddys c2 with 50 kit and 7/72 gear
i run 6/68 and have more top
im happy but is it enough?
we'll se next season
