clutch problem?

I bought a used DM. It has a 3 shoes blata clutch installed. I want to know does anyone have a problem with the clutch shoe clip or maybe it's called snap ring fell off problem. How do I know what went wrong? Any ideas?

Re: clutch problem?

One of the circlips came off the post? Did anything get damaged, or did you just happen to notice it?

Blata replacement shoes don't come with new clips unlike Polini and BZM. It is likely that the last owner re-used the clips after changing the shoes. After they are removed, they tend to deform and lose tension.

Re: clutch problem?

The throttle was acting up before the rear wheel got stuck. I opened the clutch housing and realized that the clip was missing. The washer came off and got stuck inside. It seems like the clutch shoes is sort of screwed up. I will post some pics to check with the forum members to see if I could still use them.

MidSouth told me that they have the new clutch shoes installed and everything checked.
