Fuel Oil Ratio

Hello Group,

I am in the process of getting my bike back up and running. I have let it sit for a few years. It is a blata with Polini engine. Everything on here says a 50:1 ratio is what is needed but i just noticed that it says 20:1 on the gas cap... I can not remember what i used to run in it. Any thoughts?

Re: Fuel Oil Ratio

Air cooled?

No matter what, I would never run any engine at less than 32:1. Oil is cheap, engines are not. A little more won't hurt anything, and if it is air cooled, then it can increase the life of your engine considerably.

Re: Fuel Oil Ratio

That is a Blata Elite 11. It is powered by a Polini Series 2 engine (40cc 3-port) with a Dellorto SHA 14/14 carb. It also looks like you have a BZM/Ducati coil. Any Polini parts will fit on it, as that is one of the most common engines. Nice bike.

Re: Fuel Oil Ratio

After sitting for a few years, at minimum, you should source a gasket rebuild kit and replace the intake, exhaust and top-end gaskets.

Good luck.

Re: Fuel Oil Ratio

hey fellas just wondering how many people here run 50:1 and for how long?

95% of the guys at our track and abroad seem to run it after break in with IP oil and im trying to pick up a few rpm to bust past 18,000 down our long straight.

After actual experience not thoughts, this is in a BZM 6 port motor.

cheers!
