| Re: gp3 flex frame???? The 'flex' you refer to is the adustable subframe. The lower frame rail can be sited in 3 positions to affect the 'feel' of the bike. The highest position (pos1) gives the most angle of triangulation on the subframe and allows most flex, central(pos2), is standard, and the lowest (pos3) gives the largest angle and so is the more rigid position.
The adjustment is created in such a way that the upper frame rail ( and therefore the seat) remains at a constant height and position regardless of which position the lower rail is in. Despite this, some people use the adjustment to lift the seat height, although this puts strain on the front mounting bolt for the fuel tank and can lead to leaks from this area.
