the mini is too short!! if you want the sportbike look on the midi, all you have to do is lower your front forks and it would look exactly like the mini, but it will effect your turning abilities, you will have better tracktion and control on turning.
the midi sits up high so you don't have lean off your bike as much.the midi has the height which you could turn with the bike. All the people at the track, that has RR's are all midi's and there's about 9 of them including myself.my opinion
truthfully get the midi!!!!! |
I'm gonna say this as many have told me, if you can fit on a mini, then get a mini. Midis are popular (in the states) and you see them the most because most people are too tall to ride a mini or think that minis are very uncomfortable. Many can ride minis but after they sit on a midi they just think that they can not. I see pics and
videos of racers in Europe and most of them are minis. Yes midis are more comfortable but I also agree that minis handle better. Since minis sit lower they have a lower center of gravity (assuming youy are comparing the same design/make bike) so they will handle better. I don't have a GRC though, I have a DM. Since I can ride a mini comfortably, minis are my prefered choice. If I were to get an open (14hp range) bike then I would definitely get a midi.
By lowering the front of a midi I disagree on it looking like a mini. Unless your rear saddle has height adjustability it will not look like a mini. Look at the gap between the seat and the tire on both a midi and mini, that's the first thing that catches my eye when seeing them.
