Question Polini 910 seat pad

Just picked up a Polini 910 and I noticed the screws that are suppose to hold the seat pad are to small for the holes. Is there or are there washers that are suppose to used? The seat was off when I picked it up and when I looked to put it back on I noticed the screws were to small.

I sanded the seat area with 80 grit. And then sanded the underside of the pad. And used some Lords Glue to hold the pad in place. I don't think the screws are supposed to hold it down. The holes are there to give you access to the screws. But, now I'm wishing that I didn't put the pad down. The seat grips my leathers to well! And it makes it hard to slide off the seat when I corner.

I used velcro. That's probably your best solution. Get a 1 1/2"x 2" velcro thing from Home Depot and you'll be good to go. There's nothing under the seat padding that you need to access.

I will most likely try the velcro approach but does the glue come loose from heat?

Yes, velcro glue doesn't last the long run. It's all based on how well you clean off the surface before you stick it. And how well you rough up the surface to give it something to bite to. And even then, dirt and regular use will loosen up the glue. So you'll need to re-apply it eventually.

Thanks for the advice. I may just keep the seat off now after riding it and found it easy to slide my bum side to side.. ; )
