Nice bikes Evan! That must be the new Elite added to the stable, right? Very nice! Btw, that motor looks to be BRAND NEW! I like the paint job on the Blata logos btw.

yep this is my new aquisition, the motor is clean enough to eat off of, the chassis is just as clean, bike needs a new clutch (some unadjustable 3 shoe in it, enguages at like 5k, so the motor bogs out), and i think i located a stock 11 front fairing for it, the bike rips thou, sharpie brand paint pens are the best, i usually have the pull start covers painted, decided this morning to paint the logos on the triples, (the 11 has a red backround now) pull start covers look so much better with paint on em i'll post up more pics once i get the front fairing, i'm hoping to get it out on the track next weekend

Elite 10?! I didn't know that even existed! Very rare i'll bet. Btw, I'm still contemplating whether or not i'm going to paint the Blata logo. I'm painting the rims black for sure. It would go great with the white fairings.

the elite 10 was available in 4.2 or 6.2 polini power, i have never personally seen one and this is the only photo i have been able to find,
do the rims white then or just polish them, you can shine the rim up to look like a mirror finish, i'll take some pics tomorow of the painted logos (both bikes are at work), triples look good with the green B on the red backround, i have to pick up some blue to do the polini on the pullstart of the 11, think the 11 once i get the fairing will end up like this http://www.tapeworks.com/Pages/MarlboroYZF750.html
ill just paint it, they already gave me all the angles, and i won't spend what they are asking on a decal set

Wow, the Elite 10 seems like the ideal bike to have!

So you think white will look better? I may take your advice on that. Honestly, I'm sick of the shiny bling bling shine. I did it on my Cag and while it came out nice it gets old fast, imo.

Dude! You are going to have one bada$$ elite. That theme is awesome. So tape is what you're using?

Here are some pics of my bike:

dam that thing is clean, the front fairing is in great shape, i wouldnt even fix that tail, tail always takes damage... do a matte white rim, that would look good, (especially if you paint the letters on your tires) be a little extra work to keep clean, but looks tasteful.. i might see if they can make it for a pocketbike, website says if they don't have a kit for a bike that they can take a bike and measure it (takes 2 weeks). its a bit expensive, would be easier then making up a crapload of stencils thou.

Thanks Evan.

I'm not going to fix it. Well I am but using jbweld on the inside of the fairing or some kind of hard tape. I'll figure something out. Then I'm going to paint it white. The rest of the top fairing is nice!

The front is nice too as you stated. Man this guy was not kidding when he said it only had 5 hours on it! There are nibbies on the front tire.

I guess he rode it for 5 hours and then crashed, LOL! Hard.

I don't get what painting matte means, can you explain please? About the letters on the tire, do you mean the "MADE IN ITALY"? I may paint that using white out. It worked great on my Cag so it should be fine here too.

Yeah that tapeworks stuff looks expensive.

matte finish as opposed to gloss, it doesn't shine as much, use sharpie paint pens they are great easier then white out

Do they have sharpie pens in white or are you referring to any white out pen?

So matte is paint w/ out gloss? Hmm, no gloss with white. I can't even imagine it. Will that look good in your opinion? Why not gloss?

i think the matte will give less reflection in direct sun, just my opinion but i think the matte white would look better then a shiny gloss white, if you can find matte to use i would use that but any white for the rims would look good and Sharpie brand paint pens come in many colors and a few different size tips,

Cool, I didn't know that. I'll try getting matte but if I can't get any gloss will do. Thanks!

you should lay alot of primer down, then sand it smooth to give you a nice flat surface to paint, below is pic of the 11's triple, and the 13's pull start sorry for crappy pics its from the camera on my phone

Haha...that came out really nice!

I especially like the triple. Painted my tail section today. I used Rustoleum paint with gloss and applied only one coat as I had to go somewhere. It came out very nice. I noticed the factory paint is slightly lighter than the Rustoleum. Maybe it's because the Rustoleum is still wet or something, not sure. It's not really noticeable though.

I didn't apply any primer. I know i'm going to crash again so I don't think it's necessary to put that much work into it. I did peel off all the stickers and the old paint using a hair dryer and a razor with gasoline.

I'll post pics when I get home (10pm). I can't wait to see it again. Now i'm going to figure a way out to mount the tail section which is not connected to the top fairing at this point.

Any ideas? Screws maybe? Or how about some JB Weld but that stuff is messy and will show through because it's dark. Hmm...

Dam....that's a pretty good size Waleed...You could still use some type of epoxy and glue it on....then when it's dry flip it over and put alot on the underside of it....then when it's all done ....put on the number plate background material...from the top and down to the sides...and that will hide it a little....Good Luck
