hey, well I'm saving for an italian bike..but am wonderign which is better!! it has to be 400cc as that's all that is alowed here in australia! so I'm looking at the polini gp3 and the BMS 05 model with 13.5hp motor in it....so yeh..anyone who knows anything about these bike..and which is faster and better handling etc..please let me know..

400cc? You mean 40 right?

Anyways, ive never had the chance to ride a GP3 but ive ridden a 4.2 and a super prody (8.5) BMS and they handle like a charm. A GRC RR handles very well also, sits a bit better then a BMS and corners like charm as well.

In regard to the GP3, there's not a lot of tech information or parts floating around for that bike, so if you decide to get it, make sure that your dealer has parts and the technical know-how to keep the bike running.

Cheers

I rode a 13.5hp bizeta powered BMS in the Las Vegas MinimotoGP last year, and it was extremely fast. It seems that the gp3 has really not attracted much attention from top racers. The BMS is a precise and extremely well crafted bike. I think that the European 50cc Open class champoinship is held by BMS...

hey, well as for dealers..there are NO italian dealers here! so it's not gonna matter either way..I have to get everything from overseas..I live in australia..a little kid just got a GP3 13hp race bike..so I'll see how it goes..but a guy in australia will be distributing BMS' over here..

they both share the same powerplant, water pumps, have adequate radiators and similarly effective brakes. For most people, the choice comes down to looks and handling. I haven't ridden a new DM lately.

i would go for the gp3 i have had the 40cc super then changed to a 50cc rr grc super and could not get on with it so i went back to the gp3 but with the 50cc kit . the gp3 is a fairly new bike and can be a bit hi maintinance , the gearing is far better than the bikes that run the serise 2 motor with sprocket from 45 to 76 rears the fronts a 10 and 11 , the manual that comes with the bike shows all gear ratios compared with std serise 2 ratios , the brakes are great std pads are avalible or full race pads they are good trust me i can get this bike and post to australia i did it for somebody last month i also have a full parts list pm me if you want more info

I would definately go BMS, they offer the best product support in the industry. They still care about their distributors, and are not only driven by $. We are seeing more and more of them showing up at the track, in fact we had 16 on the track here locally at our last event.

Dollar for dollar, BMS is the best performance, latest techonology, and they offer great service.

hey thanks guys..

so is the BMS a strong bike? liek will it handle high sides etc without breaking? also...does it have any known issues that I could come across?

one more thing..I'd probably get one witha 40cc bi-zeta motor..so would it be as fast as the GP3??

(we have the choice between 40cc polini or 400 bi-zeta motor- which one would you rather)?

Yes, very durable, handles well. Bi-Zeta is offered in there 11hp production class 05 model. They also now have billet brake calipers, and many other billet components to make the bike even nicer to the eye.

the bi-zeta is more powerful than the 5 port polini. and as far as crashing the BMS, i have crashed mine probably over 30 times...occaisionally a subframe can crack, but rewelding it was easy. After a pocket bike cartwheels 3 or 4 times, you should expect something to crack...

Its hard for me to comment on the bms as there aint many if any here in the uk but i can comment on a bi-zeta motor in a rr . i had a 50 so i was a beast to ride but a grear motor and bits like clutchs are real easy to get and so many types . as power goes its not just power of the bike its the rider i know many riders that can ride a proddy faster than a super
