can't a girl get a break. ok i established my clutch shoes need to be replaced but now I need to know why my woodruff key keeps splitting ? I have replaced it 3 times now in the last month. please help!!!!
Is the woodruff key busting after you have fitted your new clutch? Im not quite sure how your key could bust cos ive had my clutch out a few times and it seems as if you cant get it wrong is it lined up properly when u put the clutch in ? and nice and free so you dont have to hit the clutch in ?
Are you using an advancing key? If so Just stick with the stock one....Maybe its the wrong key for it. Take a pix if possible it might help since most people are more visual.
THe only thing that I can think of that you could be doing wrong is not tightening the clutch down well enough when reinstalling it. Or you never got the key lined up with the keyway correctly.
