Re: 125cc pit bike

Got my decal kit for 55€ from a local online mx dealer, more or less your $60-70... CoulndŽt find anything nice cheaper.. But i think theyŽre worth the mo, its a really nice whole DC shoes kit. They are thick quality stickers. IŽll try to take some pics

my bike came too with 12 and 14" wheels, i prefer them over 10" wheels.

Same **** happened with my front brake, i was doing the setup at job and a "funny" coworker pressed the lever You can take it out of the bike and take apart the two shoes, then open brakeŽs piston with a screwdriver. I changed brakeŽs oil and bleeded it too, but it isnŽt needed.

youŽll love how the bike rides, believe me

I haven't had time to post up pics of my bike, but I will soon. To my surprise, the bike came with 14" wheels up front, and 12" wheels in the rear. Sits pretty high, which is cool with me. I messed up putting on the front wheel so now I have to bleed the front brake system (don't ask me why I have to do it...I feel stupid enough as it is haha). Have any of you guys had to bleed your front brakes?

Overall the bike looks good, but its chinese quality so its not GREAT. I'll see how it rides hopefully sometime this week.

Re: 125cc pit bike

So you're saying its not needed, to bleed the brakes? All the fluid is gone from my brakes since I took the whole front brake assembly out. Well, I'll try to bleed the brakes anyhow. Any tips?

Re: 125cc pit bike

If your fluid is gone youŽll have to bleed. First of all you need one thing like this:

http://www.pocketbikeplanet.com/gall...0&ppuser=15146

You want the bigger syringe you can find. They are used to feed new born pets. You need some tube, the same size used to feed cagŽs carbs will be fine. YouŽll need an empty cup or something to bleed the fluid to. YouŽll need a small wrench to open/close the bleeding screw. YouŽll need some duct tape or a friend to help you. YouŽll need DOT4 brake fluid, any brand (be careful with brake fluid as it eats it all)

Here we go, fit the tube to the bleeding screw. Open the reservoir and take out the rubber seal. Fill the syringe with fluid and fit it to the tube you previously fitted to the bleeding screw. Press the syringe to fill the system with brand new fluid, be careful and do it slowly, checking reservoirŽs level. Using a syringe and forcing the fluid through systems lower part will help to keep as less air bubbles as possible, less air youŽll have to bleed later .

Once you have filled the system close the bleeding screw. Now its time to bleed the brake.

To bleed the brake you take out the syringe from the tube and leave the tube attached to the closed bleeding screw. Pump the lever with your hand till you feel some pressure, use the duct tape to keep the lever pressed. Open the bleeding screw, youŽll see that some fluid drains and youŽll see some air bubbles too. When the bubbles stream stops, close the bleeding screw. Cut the duct tape and pump the lever again till you feel some pressure, leave it pressed using duct tape and repeat the bleeding routine till you see that no air bubbles come from the screw. From time to time check reservoirŽs level, as youŽll have to fill it.

Once you have bleeded all the air, fill the reservoir to its marked level, place the rubber seal and close the cap. Pump the lever again, when you can feel the pressure duct tape the lever and leave it that way overnight. YouŽre done

Hey thanks bro. I appreciate the writeup. I'll try to get Robert to add a how-to section for this forum, and post up your writeup on how to bleed brakes. Thanks again.

i use motul 4-stroke sae 10 w 40 motor oil

91 octane chevron

i havent changed my brake fluid yet...
any tutorials someone can pm me on how to change brake fluid?

1 big thing to look at that i shouldve looked at before is the rake on the rear and from suspension your front forks should not be near straight up..or you will have non-existant shock absorbtion... i can back this up with the fact that i went down to apex near vegas(where i live) and hit a small cantelope-sized rock in the top of 3rd gear and i ate it and thought i broke my ankle! if you do not have any rake in your front forks then consider cutting and welding the body near the forks to give you rake
ride safe
