I'm getting a pit bike pretty soon. 125cc from badazztoyz. I'll post pics when I get it. Hopefully we can do some parts reviews for you guys who are interested.
Curious, what speeds are you guys topping out at on your pit bikes? Anything to watch out when breaking in? Thoughts and comments would be great...
Iīd say 80 km/h stock. Change engineīs oil as soon as you get the bike, youīd want to change brakeīs fluid and purge them. Check rear susspension for loose bolts and you may want to add some air pressure to make it stiffer.
Throttle is too long, you may want to change it for a Dominos short throttle..
But if it comes with any factory oils from china, replace them with quality oil that would be used in any highperformance machine, to include fork oil and shock oil.
my 2005 CRII Xtremes got new motor oil prior to breaking them in, i replaced the shock oil as per Guy Coopers reccomendation and will shortly change the fork oil.
preventative maint is way less expensive than corrective maint
make sure everything is torqued prior to starting it that way you know its done
check yer spokes often as i have read and know that all spokes stretch and if you ride hard you will need to replace them at least on the rear with quality american stainless spokes pronto
Have you researched the motard and thumpertalk boards on the bike you are planing to get? I would check them and do a bunch of research for dependability of all mechanical pieces from hubs-wheels-forks-frame-brakes tranny etc and how it compares to the SIKK and Thumpster. Chris at BAT alsosells the Thumpster so have him do a comparison for you as well.
Thanks NWmm. I tried looking for places that talk about these types of bikes, but I havent found anything useful. Can you PM me some websites or forums I can check out? Thanks.
Any DOT4 brake fluid will make the job, Castrol GPS 15/50w is a very good engine oil and iīm running pumpīs 95š gas whitout any problems.
if you plan to ride your bike supermotard style Dunlop TT GP 91 slicks is what you want, if you plan to ride it off-road Dunlop D756 are good tyres too

Nice to ear that you like your pitbike, iīm loving mine too
On fridayīs nigth we had a great snow-storm, so on saturdays morning everything was snowed. Took out my bike for a ride and spent the whole morning drifting. you canīt go fast, but its definetly fun to ride , so fun
Another tip, replacement stock sparkplug is NGK C7HSA, iīll give a try to a hotter C8HSA sparkplug with this cold climate as it takes some time to kickstart it sometimes.
Myself changed stock seat as it was too low, now iīm running a taller seat. I have a replacement black plastics set and a kit of nice stickers, iīll post my bike when finished too.

I'll be taking pics of the bike tomorrow and posting them up. It looks awesome. I like it a lot.
I'm trying to find some nice graphics for my bike, but the good ones go for at least 60-70 bucks on ebay. Know of any cheap graphics/decal kits?
I haven't had time to post up pics of my bike, but I will soon. To my surprise, the bike came with 14" wheels up front, and 12" wheels in the rear. Sits pretty high, which is cool with me. I messed up putting on the front wheel so now I have to bleed the front brake system (don't ask me why I have to do it...I feel stupid enough as it is haha). Have any of you guys had to bleed your front brakes?
Overall the bike looks good, but its chinese quality so its not GREAT. I'll see how it rides hopefully sometime this week.
