Which bike?

Ok just saying if i did save up and get an expensive bike, which one is best?X-sport,Thumpstar,Sikk MX,Monster?

Which one needs the least amount of modifications to begin with for motocross tracks or off road?

Sikk http://www.sikktoys.com/pitbike.htm (My current favorite)

Thumpstar http://www.activetoys.co.uk/ishop/955/shopscr1228.html

X-sport http://www.zippiscootersireland.com/bikes.htm XSport 120cc 3 Valve - With single leaf swingarm looks very interesting

Monster http://www.monstermoto.co.uk/

Hello mate,

Well, I have asked myself the same question. And have looked through all of the specs of the bikes currently available, and have concluded that the MONSTER M125 seems like the best choice. The seat height is 4" higher than the Thump and it just looks better built. But it really depends on how tall you are. I am 6'4" so need the extra room. The MONSTER came about after the Thump as I understand it, and is in direct competition with the Thumpstar, but I havn't ridden either, but I have seen many Thumps "in the flesh" and they are OK. But like I say, the MONSTER M125 just looks better built. But if you are spending that much £££, don't buy from a picture, go and have a look at these bikes and sit on them and listen to them, and if you can, ride both of them, then you will know what is best for you.

Good luck
James

I have seen the Monsters in the flesh they do seem very impressive. There are a couple of Thumpstars at my local track Matchams. Will have to go and have a look at them. The Sikk looks really high quailty aswell(not that i've seen one in the flesh yet),that skid plate on the Sikk looks really high quailty and upto the job.I would like to see one of those X-sports with the single leaf swingarm,it looks like it has a really heavy duty rear shock on it.

The Sikk looks alright. The engine does look like the same engine that is on my CRF replica. My engine does seem strong, but my bike only cost about $350, so I would expect more fro my money if you know what I mean. The engine on the Thump & the Monster look to be better finished in my opinion. But that's just my opinion. If I were spending the £££, I may well go for the Monster M125, but that's just based on seeing a pic of it and having seen the Thumpstar in the flesh. But either one would be good I am sure.

Let us know what you go for. I am interested in what sways you either way and what you impressions are of what you do get.

I haven't got the money yet need to save up for a bit longer.Supposedly Sikk actually tested there bike for a year i think before releasing it.The changes they have made are suppose to be for the better. To be honest i thought the engine was the same on all of them the only difference being the engine size and weather its a 2 valve or 3 valve engine.Would an extra valve on this size engine make a difference?I mean if its getting all the petrol and air it needs with one inlet valve whats the point in two?

The two i'm mainly looking into unless somebody gives me some information on the bikes to put me off is the Sikk and the x-sport mk2.
