My Cobra s4 review

Ok I bought A cobra s4 from minipocketrockets about a year ago. They sent me the wrong color I e-mailed them and told them the problem and about 1 month later they sent me new plastics in the color I wanted. But anyway alot of you seem to like this thing. I don't!

First of all my clutch was shot in about 2 months and this thing has no power. Im 5'8" 155lbs and It barely has the power to take off! Although once it does, It actually gets going pretty well but the thing is so unstable and wobbly even if you get it going over 15 it scares the crap out of you! Other problems Ive had Is the carb bowl sticks all the time so gas leaks out the overflow tube. always have to tear the bowl off and unstick it. The suspension on the front left broke. Replaced the shock. and the gas tank leaks. fixed this with some plastic weld and worked well. Engine runs good fires right up and idles good. These things In my opinion are ok for kids or anyone 100lbs or lighter otherwise you will just sit there burning the clutch cause it wont move unless you start out going down hill and If you do well your gonna have to push it back up the hill cause you definetly wont be riding it back up.

This is my experience with this quad others seem to like it, and I really dont no why maybe mine was just a lemon with no power. It's in my basement and it has been there for months unriden because it is just not fun for me. I tried selling it to a friend for his 8 year old son. he took it for a test ride and he took off like a rocket and nearly ran head on into my car. Way to much for him but he was like 75lbs. His dad didnt buy it for him. Well just my thought and experience with the cobra s4 better luck to the rest of you.

Re: My Cobra s4 review

Hey guys I would just like to add to my review. It's been over a year since I got my quad and like I said Its been in my basement for months. I was looking at it a couple of weeks ago and decided to get it out. I put fresh gas in it tore apart the carb and cleaned it and she fired right up. Took it for a spin and it was a little sluggish but I excpected as much. I been getting it out everyday now for atleast a half hour and riding it and I have to say after about the 3rd or 4th day this thing has got alot quicker, I think it's finally broken in after a year and a half, lol seriously I dont think I put maybe 5 tanks of gas thru it since I got it but it is definetly faster now, and Im really starting to enjoy this thing. I also got a better clutch and a bigger rear sprocket for it and put it on yesterday and wow what a difference!! and as for these things being so unstabble, they are but I tightened the front shocks up as tight as I can possibly get them and It helped alot!

My Complaint:
Missing/broken parts, different quad shipped, not what i pd for. Called Cust. Rep she replied they only have 1 model. ???Why 3 models listed w/ 3 prices, if only 1 model is stocked

Pictures shows tires that are GP Racing Treaded Tires, mine are knobby tires, which will not work on the street. your quad’s kill switch is on the right side the quad shipped has kill switch on the left side. The right rear axle nut/washer is missing and the right handle bar clip/holder is broken, cannot tighten handle bars. The wieght limit says 275 well I’m 195 and the quad bottoms out on the little red shock With all that said I wish to get the “Correct Cobra S4” which I paid for, the shocks, weight limit, street tires and front independent suspension, exhaust and the quality I ordered, or a refund !I was cautious to even order because of missing a broken pieces, and rumors which have trickled, after reading you site I felt, no need to be cautious then I receive “some off brand quad looks to be a half product of an A4 Quatro/EVO” which is not even what is pictured or what I paid for, not to mention what does (specifications subject to change without notice) mean? If it means I can pay you extra money for a different quad with cheaper parts other than what’s pictured and described on you website, then that’s a rip off and a lawsuit, if this is true I would never have ordered.I would appreciate the correct Cobra S4 mini quad \pictured on your site to be shipped or my money refunded back to my card. Very frustrated, this is not the Customer Service that I expected or the service that you state. Why advertise 3 models w/ 3 different prices if company only has 1 model.
I purchased the most expensive quad on website Cust. Rep. said they only have 1 model and if I was the purchase the 1 for 40.00 cheaper i would have recieved the same model as an upgrade....Hows that?...Refund my money or send me appropiate cobra S4 mini quad which was ordered and paid for
Why display 3 models w/ 3 different prices, why? if company only has 1 model!

Apparantley there there supose to be shipping the extra parts such as :
Left rear axle nut and washer missing!
Handle bar holder broken (can not tighten handle bars)!
Carburetor is leaking gas and (its not the over flow) its coming from the ripped gasket which looked to be ripped from assembly
Chain guard is broken/bent
Rear main axle is bent
Right rear tire is leaking air from valve stem (looks to be a defect)

Well there it is in a nutshell....tons of verbaige but I'm pissed not sure even what quad I have, what chain or sprocket or if my engine is even 47cc. Whcih sucks cuz I wanted the 47cc engine.

If any one could help with the engine and cahin a sprocket identification that would be marvelous.....
