Cheap is not a good word when it comes to pit bikes.

Those Chineese cheap ebay pit bikes are exactly that, cheap. I thought china pocketbikes where cheap but at least they hold up better then the china pit bikes from what I have seen from my own eyes.

If your not going for a Thumpstar, Sikk, SDG or other pitbikes like theses, then get a Honda CRF50/XR50, dont spend your hard earn cash on those cheap ebay pit bikes.

Just my .02$

You can't go wrong with the Thumpstar, the whole bike is practically the same price as a big bore headkit for an XR. I've ridden a few T'stars now and they always impress me with the bang for the buck.

to be honest, find an old used jap dirt bike for under $500. you will learn a lot, and they are very reliable. most parts can still be found, or made if you are handy.

good luck
