Kids Bio's - Bennie Taylor

Age: 8
Nickname: Bear
Hometown: Brush Prairie, WA
Bikes: BMS 4.2, BMS 7, Metrakit 50cc.

Profile

Bennie has been competitively racing pocketbikes since June of 2003. However, he has been riding motorcycles since he was 3 years old. He started out riding a Honda XR 50 with his Dad, slowly learning how the machine operated. Once he was able to ride a pedal bike without training wheels, he picked up on riding his Honda by himself in no time. He is currently one of the youngest licensed road racers in the country.

His license is held through OMRRA (Oregon Motorcycle Road Racing Assoc.) He loves riding anything with 2 wheels, and even tries to convince his parents to let him drive the car once in a while. He really has a love for the sport. We have watched him grow from a bit of a timid child into a child with enough confidence to speak to anyone, about anything. He is learning about determination, healthy competition, and self-confidence. He knows that he can accomplish anything he puts his mind to.

His hobbies include: Swimming, baseball, bike riding, playing in the neighborhood and just regular kid stuff.

Upcoming Ventures

One of Bennie’s newest ventures is a brand new motorcycle called a Metrakit which is a much larger motorcycle that carries a 50 cc motor accompanied by a six-speed GP shift transmission. This bike is from Spain and is the next natural step for Bennie to take from the Pocketbike before he moves to the GP 125 at the age of 14. Bennie started on the right foot and took to the motorcycle as if he had ridden it before. He is very excited to race both motorcycles next year and makes it very clear that he wants to be the next National Champ when he grows up.
