Haha, 160cc! Are you kidding me?! Do you know how hard it is to even fit a 110cc engine? It's HARD!

No! This is a very very low budget project! So everyone who has an engine, angle grinder and a welding machine should be able to do this

I also cut of the old engine mount, and made a new one There is still a LONG way to go, and a lot ot problems ahead

1: I need to get the exhaust to fit, but i don't have it yet.
2: I need a new sprocket for the rear.
3: Need a new chain.
4: Need to mount the engine so the chain will fit.
5: Need to find out where the gastank can be mounted.
6: Probably A LOT more!

There will be some more pictures soon.

I'm so happy to hear that it's fun!!! I CAN'T WAIT untill it's done!! But i don't need an exhaust, i have on, the guy i bought the motor from just needs to ship it to me But thank you for the offer!

Ps. I live in Denmark, so it would be pretty expensive in shipping cost to buy your exhaust!

Re: 47cc converted to 110cc

haha good point, i gut lucky!
my atc-70 is much larger than your miniquad,
well a little, about the size your making it..
so i needed no modifications, if mounts like a regular 50cc honda engine, i was stoked! did need to purchase a new chain and sprocket though haha and too bad! cali to denmark haha ouch shipping prices would gouge you, unless you used a flat rate international shipping tube, but i doubt the exhaust would fit! haha it was worth a try! hopefully the one you have will work, and not just kill the engine (my friends bike sounds like a can of nuts and bolts ) and mine runs fine all i did was buy the FMF power core 4, 60 bucks on ebay, highly reccommended

Re: 47cc converted to 110cc

also one last thing, add a few more frame supports, ive heard of people riding for 2 days on modded 110 pocket bikes then BAM the power of the engine snaps the frame...
would hate to hear another war story, with a really cool idea like this
good luck!

I'm having pretty big trouble finding a sprocket that fits the new chain! Because it also needs to fit the old axel... It needs to have a hole in the middle that is 2,5 cm in diameter, and it needs to be big enough for a larger chain. How do i find one like that...?

Re: 47cc converted to 110cc

Contact somewhere that makes the sprockets.... im not sure who but if you give them dimension they may be able to custom make you one.

im guessing your chain is 420 correct?

I actually don't know... Because i don't have the chain yet But i think it is 420 It's has to be the same size as the 110cc dirtbikes and Choppers have

Re: 47cc converted to 110cc

well you can run either a 420 or 428 depending on what sprockets you buy...

if you are leaving the stock sprocket on the engine then you need a 420 sized chain.

I leave the stock sprocket for the engine So thank you VERY much! Just needs a new one for the back... I was just thinking something. What if you cut every second tooth of the standart mini atv sprocket? would the chain fit then?

Re: 47cc converted to 110cc

to make the tank clear the carb, what about taking the top two bars and running them straight down to the seat area instead of angling down and then back, this would raise the tank a few inches by the way it looks...

Get some measurements on the bolt pattern for your sprocket and pm me, I'll cheack what I have, maybe one off of a 4 stroke pocket bike will fit... I'll need to know how many bolt holes and the distance between them...
