Re: 47cc converted to 110cc

Thank you for your help But i have another question... Where does the killswitch wire go? I made this engine diagram, or well i found an engine diagram and made a new one in better quality But that is pretty much how my engine is wired. http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/6...diagramyh2.jpg As you can see, it says that the killswitch has to be connected to a red wire, going to the CDI... But i don't have any unused wires going to the CDI. I have a white and a yellow wire going to the engine somewhere... I also think i have a black and a green one that is just cut, but i don't really know where they go So where do i put the killswitch??

Get some measurements on the bolt pattern for your sprocket and pm me, I'll cheack what I have, maybe one off of a 4 stroke pocket bike will fit... I'll need to know how many bolt holes and the distance between them...

hey you're the guy that built Coda's bike right? and about this redrilling sprockets for different rims is this something you do? cuz i need to get a cag sprocket on a x18 rear rim and dont know exactly how i should go about drilling the holes as i have no 4 stroke sprockets to mark the holes. so let me know and esser sorry for the thread jack but its good to hear you're getting things figured out got any pics of your latest creation?

I'm working on getting the engine mounted So when i'm done with that, i will take some more pictures I just need to cut a bit in the frame, to make room for a big bolt thing...

And by the way, it's okay, you can jack my thread all you want almost...

Re: 47cc converted to 110cc

****! Sounds AWESOME! Maybe you can help answer another question i have... I bought this engine used from some guy, but the exhaust i got from him looks VERY much like a 2 stroke exhaust... It has a very big expansion chamber in the middle. Is that neede on a 4 stroke...? Because i don't really think so, but i don't want to cut it off if i need it

Re: 47cc converted to 110cc

Do 4 strokes need an exhaust. like is it bad to rin one with out it. Like for an old shool 3.5 hp engine.

Yes I built that bike, it had a 141cc with nitrous but Coda didnt want to spend that much so I popped in a 125cc zong and lowered the price...

what bolt pattern is the cag?? 3, 4, 6?? I'll need to know the distance between the holes too...

drop me a pm

that exhaust sounds like what I put on my bike (Coda's now) and my son's 125cc cateye but I cut the chamber out to make the exhaust shorter plus the chamber is useless on a 4 stroke..........Does the exhaust look like the pic below?? thats what we had but I got them alot cheaper than waht pbewww sells them for...

Re: 47cc converted to 110cc

My exhaust dosen't look like that... It just looks like a 2 stroke exhaust...
But i have a picture of it now http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/1189/newatv5pq3.jpg That is the exhaust.

I also have a picture of the new and the old rear sprocket. http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/9595/newatv6qf5.jpg
But i was thinking, what if you could attach the middle part of the old sprocket, to the new sprocket? Then it would fit! Do any of you think that would work...? And do you have any ideas on how to do it?

that is isome hack job two stroke exhaust, I'd throw that away and buy an exhaust off ebay for a pitbike and mod it to work, heck it may even fit right in the frame..This is what I used on my son's dragbike, worked out great.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EXHAU...spagenameZWDVW

Measure the distance between two bolt holes center to center...... it looks like you may be able to use an x15 x18 sprocket, you would just use 3 of the 6 holes..... possibly even use an x6 sprocket if the flange that the sprocket bolts to is thick enough to drill and tap the holes to 8mm...

let me know...

Re: 47cc converted to 110cc

Well the flange has 3 holes, and the whole in the sprocket it self needs to be 2,5 cm. So if you could make the two sprockets in to one sprocket, then it would be very nice

I'm not concerned about the center hole, I need the measurement from bolt hole to bolt hole, that is the important part....If the measurement is right you can buy a sprocket and just bolt it on, To try and make one from two will not be easy to keep centered so it doesn't oscolate up and down...

The big down fall is if you can't drill the bolt holes out in the hub and tap them for 8mm or 5/16" bolts, those three little 6mm bolts will NEVER hold up to a 110cc 4 stroke....If you can get me those measurements and a pic of your hub that will help me help you...

Re: 47cc converted to 110cc

I have measured the distance between the holes now :-) There is 3 cm from the center of one hole, to the center of the next hole. Or that's what i got it to... :-P Maybe it's 2,9... But something like that :-)

ok I'll look around here and see if I can find a metric ruler and get the measurements...

Is the sprocket hub thick enough to drill the holes to 8mm??

wow that is small, I just measured an X6 wheel and it is approx 42mm or 4.2cm....I don't know of any 4 strokes with that small of a bolt pattern.......I'll look through all my sprockets and see if I can come up with any ideas on what to do..... You may have to make an adapter....

If you can take a pic of the hub that will help me figure out what to do...
