49cc A4 Quatro Quad

I am new to the pocket bike scene. I recently orderd two mini quads from rabbitscooters.com. I am having problems with both of them with no help from the them as of yet. I have experience with mechanicl issues but because these things are so simple, sometimes thay can be the most difficult to work on.

1st one:
Can start, runs rough but dies when I take choke off and apply throttle. I can only see one screw on carb for adjustment.

Slight leak in exhaust manifold. I teghtened the screws up but it still leaks with oil spewing out. I am afraid to tighten any more and break screws.

2nd one:
Will not start. I have a bright blue spark and gas appears to be on plug. I'm thinking possible kill switch issue...

Has anyone dealt with these type of atv's before????

Thanks,

Griff

Re: 49cc A4 Quatro Quad

Checked out the cag forum..lots o good onfo thanks.

I also did a search for "needle adjustment' and found a huge amount of info...I have only two adjustments, the idle adjustmetn screw on the outside of the carb (left side when sitting on bike) and the needle adjustment inside the carb. Going to check the needle posision tonite and play with the idle as well.

Thanks to all who contribute to that. These things are more complicated than they appear!!!!!!!

Thansk for the info..

One big problem I resolved with help from the "Things to do with new bike" listing: clean out the gas tank. It had a huge amount of plastic shavings in it and the fuel filter was clogged. Once I cleaned them out and messed with the idle adjustment, they run pretty good now. In fact they run better with each time I ride them.

Thanks again for all the help and replys.

Griff

Re: 49cc A4 Quatro Quad

I have two that have grayish silver frames and bought them form rabbit scooters out of Cali. One runs like mad and the other is a little boggy and doesn't have the top speed the first one has. I need to adjust the needle (c clip) as it is spewing a large amount of oil out the exhaust.
