HELP - Mini ATV wont start

Hi - I purchased an A4 Quattro from rabbitscotters.com and I can not get this thing to start. I already ripped the starter off the quad and replaced with a metal on. I have a small spark in the plug (checks by pulling starter with plug out grounded to frame). I have gas flowing at least into the carb (pulled the hose off and there was pleanty of gas). When I take the plug out and pour gas straight into the cylender it fires up for a second or two then dies. I have done this about 5-6 times in a row but I cant get it to stay started. I have pulled the starter a good 1000 times!!! The quad is trying but wont turn over. Sombody please help me figure out what could be wrong. My son got this for Xmas and still has been unable to ride it. THANKS in advance!!

Is there a fuel shut off valve in place somewhere with in the fuel lines?
Sounds like it will fire up,but it's not getting fuel to continue to run check fuel filter if it's been sitting could be clogged up maybe.. Just trying to help you out! P.S do have the right gas mix and is the gas fresh?

Pull the drain screw out of the bottom of the carb and see if you have consistent fuel flow.

what if its not consist then what?
