Re: hey jdc????

Somewhat strange experience.

Got two bikes via DHL, no damage, ahead of schedule.

The boxes are not the same size. Open them up and the red bike is 20% larger and has 2 front shocks, one rear shock, silver frame, gray motor cover.

The blue one is much smaller, no shocks, black frame, black motor cover.

Blue one needed some assembly, red one completely assembled.

Started them and took for a quick spin that night. Red is slower but has alot more low end torque. Blue one is very past but had trouble pulling me throught short well kept grass. Wife was shocked seeing me coming around the corner in front of house on that little bike.

Today is the first day not freezing. Plan to take them for a real ride tis weekend. I will try and take photos.

Does it sound like you have either of these styles? I called and asked about the differences and I think the guy ran out of stock and he bought the red one from a local supplier in CA.

Re: hey jdc????

which one would be better for drifting and sliding around turns? the blue one? bc it has a stiffer frame or would it be about the same for the red and blue, also when you seat down on it how much do the shocks compress?

Re: hey jdc????

I am not sure in regards to your questions. Your weight would also have some significance.

I weigh 215 pounds and the blue one barely pulled me through the grass but was very fast. I am putting a 74 tooth rear sprocket on the bike this week. I also purchased a pocket key but still debating the installation.

The red bike pulls me through the grass easier but the carb was never worked right since it was new. I am changing the carb out this week but the rear shock inhibits most of the after market units.

Re: hey jdc????

The red one appears to be a better bike.

I bought them from the same place for the same price if you look a few post up on this thread. The guy ran out of bikes and resold me one he got from a California store for the same price.

I will have to drive and play with these a while to make any furter assessments.

Re: hey jdc????

When I took a photo of the red quad I had the stock air filter removed to get to the carb to take it off.

I purchased a stock carb that was modified by PBU to replace the stock one. I have a tight space behind the air filter the way the rear shock inserts into the frame and there is nothing PBU sold other than what I bought that would fit. I am putting the stock air filter back on after the carb change out.

Re: hey jdc????

I am not a two stroke genuis but here is the world according to PBU:

They say the carb is weaker than the air filter that comes stock. And you can improve the stock air futher by drilling holes in the side on the housing to increase the air flow.

The best money spent is to put a new fuel filter. All these carbs will suck if they get fuel that is even slightly contaminanted. I am changing the stock fuel filter on both my quads.

They are also big fans of the Pocket Key which I know is controversial. I am going to put the key on one of the bikes to test but after I spend some time without it so I can compare. I do not plan to modify the head either before you ask.
