Question Need help with COBRA S4 MINI QUAD!!

ok we got my daughter this quad for christmas, my husband and i also get on and ride it because she is only 4 1/2 and its just to fast for her so we ride with her, the other day we started it up and it just took off without even touching the throttle and ran into a light pole, it wasnt damaged at all but everytime we start it it just takes off on its own, even with us on it with out touching the throttle it goes, we took the throttle off and put it back on and we cant figure out what to do, please someone help!

BTW we bought it from USAPOCKETBIKES.COM (should have read all the reviews before hand) but they absolutely suck, i cant get ahold of them except through email and they dont help at all,

Amanda

Re: Need help with COBRA S4 MINI QUAD!!

you have a clutch spring broken and its making the clutch engage as soon as you start it . the clutch is behind the the front sprocket take the 4 bolts out of the clutch bell housing, take it off and shazzzzaaammm theres the clutch look and see if there is 3 springs attached to the 3 clutch shoes and the clutch backing plate

you first need to make sure its the springs and that the clutch itself isnt broke , but heres a link for the springs

yah you should check on the slide in the carb. I had that problem a few times. Across the idle screw there is suppose to be a little pin sticking out to hold the slide in place when going up and down if its not there it wilil turn and get stuck on the idle screw and rev high. So just take off the cap that holds the throttle cable and slide and look in the carb from the top if you see the idle screw and another little pin sticking out on the opposite side, that problem is out
