Re: Pocket ATVs are on the way

I think it is gtech4 and not gtech9. I called their customer service to ask a question and the lady was very rude. They are the cheapet anywhere but will charge $10 to ship parts and do not warranty paint defects or scratched plastic.

I purchased yesterday two PQ for my children from West Coast as well. They cut $30 off each bike if you buy two and through E-Bay they are another $30+ cheaper a bike than their web site. That puts them less than $10 a bike higher than gtech4 in price. The only negative is they have limited color selection in stock. (red/blue/black)

They were very professional in answering questions and taking my order. They promised to ship by next Monday but I got tracking info via e-mail today and a professional invoice the same day of purchase over the phone.

West Coast also has 100% positive feedback on E-Bay. They go out of there way it seems to clear issues.(a guy nmaed Scott I beleive)

I will report back after I spend some time with the bikes as well.

Cheers....

Re: Pocket ATVs are on the way

You can buy one on E-Bay from about five vendors for $260-320 a bike including shipping. There is no tax if you pick a vendor in a state you do not live in.

I paid $275 a quad total shipped DHL to my door. Due to arrive tommorow.

West Coast Responsiveness

Here is a quick summary of my transaction:

I pruchased on the phone via credit card on 11/29 late inthe day. Did not use E-Bay so I could get the two quad discount. They promised my bikes would ship no later than 12/5 and be in my hands no later than 12/12.

I received an incoive on 11/30.

DHL sent me tracking info late 12/1 saying they shipped.

The DHL projected delivery date is 12/6. I just checked the DHL site and the bikes are sitting in there local warehouse in the Dallas suburbs having arrived there this morning at 6 AM.

I might have saved some time skipping E-Bay?

Shipping is included in their pricing.

You can get a quad for $260 to $320 including the shipping from several vendors on E-Bay. West Coast has the highest customer rating of the bunch. I think you can bid as low as $299 and win one from them.

Do a search on 'Pocket ATV' and all the vendors will pull up.

There is a post in the ATV forum in the HSR thread with an off road tire recommendation. I am not sure if West Coast sells them. Would have to ask customer service.

Re: Pocket ATVs are on the way

Don't worry about getting one that has off-road tires or not. You ask why? Go here: http://goped.com/products/gtr/default.asp. See those tires? Those tires were designed for ATV's, but Carlisle made them in a special size just to fit on the Go-Ped Trail Ripper GTR40, which has the same size rims as pocket quads. So what does that mean? Buy a set of Carlisle "Badlands" in size 4.10 x 4 (11" diameter), as they're were designed for real ATV's and are much better than any that come stock on a pocket quad.

Re: Pocket ATVs are on the way

Because those Carlisle tires have a mouch better tread pattern and have MUCH better quality than cheap, Chinese tires, so they'll last a LOT longer. Carlisle is one of the most respected tire brands of ATVers. They also own ITP which makes some of the best ATV off-road racing tires in existance. So tell me again why you'd rather go with the Chinese tires whose manufacturer probably say, "Tire has good quality, very good, best tire for off-road this is."
