Re: Pocket ATVs are on the way

sorry. im 14 and i just want to get an extremely awesome mini for my first toy. i was also lookin into the pit bikes but there expensive. hopefully my last stupid questions. those tires will definatly fit the rims on the mini pocket quad. and can i use it on small dirt trails and gravel and stuff. like toying around offroading. i used my friends pocket bike to offroad sometimes and it goes just curious though. like if you can ride two wheels you should be able to bruise it up in the dirt and stuff. is there any vids on the quads

Re: Pocket ATVs are on the way

If you are going to use it mainly for off-roading, DO NOT BUY THIS. You'll be sorry you did, as there's not enough torque or power coming from the motor to get you through even extremely simple off-road manuevers. I strongly recommend looking around for a nice 50cc ATV (try not to buy anything Asian, unless it's from Japan), but I'd definately recommend something bigger for your age. Try a 90cc ATV at least, pay for part of it and get your parents to pay for the rest for Christmas. You can find cheap but good ATVs in the classifieds, just try looking around. I also don't recommend getting a small ATV if it has an ATV, as they can't give as much torque as geared transmissions. Oh yeah, try name brand (Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, etc.), but Kymco ATV's also aren't that bad for Asian ATVs, but that's the only really cheap brand I recommend. I think the Suzuki and Kawasaki small ATVs would be perfect for you, as they're cheaper than Honda TRX90's or any of the Yamaha's, and although they're not too much larger than a mini quad, they do WAY better offroad than the mini quad EVER will, and dirt roads and fields will suit them best. So, you need to look for cheap Kawasaki or Suzuki small ATVs (they come in 50cc and 80cc; they are the exact same ATVs, the only thing that differs are the colors because Kawasaki and Suzuki jointly manufacture them), which should be the cheapest name brand ATV's except for Kymco's (only if you can't find something cheap enough, I don't recommend any other Asian brand; they're not as good off-roading as the Kawi's and Suki's) and other cheap companies.

Re: Pocket ATVs are on the way

I think you'd do better with a nice used 70 or 80, btu that ought to be OK. Also, I forgot to mention Dinli ATVs, they're another Asian company, be their Diamondback 90 is a popular ATV, and is one of the up and coming Asian brands. The Diamondback is a very popular model and is used by many kids for racing. I don't think their Diamondback 50 is that bad, but I think you need something bigger than a 50 if you're going to be off-roading. So if you buy an ATV, look for 80's and 90's. If you're looking for a dirt bike get a 70 or 80.

I thought you said you were looking for something small. If I had to recommend any ATV (any engine size), it definately wouldn't be 50cc 80cc, or 90cc. I'm 14 and have a full-size utility Honda Fourtrax 300. I WOULD NOT get a pit bike, or anything Asian besides major brands. I think a pit bike would be too small. A pit bike is around the size of the Chinese X-bikes (midbikes; X-18, X-12, X-6, etc.). If you do get any style off-road motorcycle, I'd get a 70cc or 80cc dirt bike, they're bigger and better suited for what you're going to be doing, and they have plenty of power. If you get a two-stroke 80 you can ride wheelies all day long completely stock (a four-stoke is what you need), which I doubt is so for a Chinese pit bike. If you can give me the price range you're looking for I can greatly help you out in finding the right ATV.

Re: Pocket ATVs are on the way

There isn't much but Chinese stuff that cheap, unless you will go with a Honda CRF50F. Those are really popular and have TONS of parts to customize with. Gomeyer and DDM sell parts for them. The Honda replicas on BAT are good, too.
