Now the modded setup:
you will need 1/4 inch fuel hose (3/4 of an inch is the length in the pics)
basically disassemble the slide from the throttle cable and slide the hose OVER the cable and INSIDE the spring. reassemble taking care to line up the notches in the slide with the tabs in the carb - the gap that runs down the entire slide should be on the same side as the petcock (or fuel inlet- on the pullstart side of the bike..... with this setup you will half roughly half throttle at full turn - adjust length of fuel line to suit your needs... hope this helps
thanks for the pics!!
shame you're in phoenix...would like to take my son to see these minis in action...
we got his gear delivered last night...still waiting on the clutch!!!
can't wait to get this thing going!!
thanks again for the help!!
If it isn't too far, take a trip to BeaveRun in PA in May. They will be having an event there and there should be a bunch of racer's there. No quads though, just the 2 wheelers.
As far as that book goes, I would be willing to wager that you can find all of that info ( and possibly more) by reading old threads on this site. Remenber the engine in your quad is the same as a cag, so all performance enhancements apply. Read through the air cooled pocketbike threads and you will find loads of info....

you are wise beyond your years master!!
(son just started kenpo this year too...)
i found a bunch of threads that i wish i would have read before the virgin run...like...CHECK YOUR GAS TANK FOR SHAVINGS...oh and my favorite: DO NOT ORDER FROM "MINIPOCKETROCKETS.COM"...i really wish i would have read the second one before i ordered the replacement clutch...i am affraid now that i'm wasting time waiting for it...
do you think i should just order from someone else and cancell this one?
yes, on the clutch. just get it from DDM
congrats on the martial arts, my son practices a little BJJ, and some Pancrase (my personal choice) as well - it builds disclipine and character - something we all need...
i was afraid you were going to say that...sux he will have to wait even longer...
martial arts...yeah this guy is awesome, my brothers and i trained with him back in the day...he had #1 school in the nation in 2006...we trained with him when he was only teaching in peoples basements...it's been fun going to the classes...master keeps asking when am i going to get back on the mats...i think i'm too old...but **** he was old when we trained under him...
thank you sir!!!
they should give you a commission...
part 2 question...so the stock air filter must be replaced? i was reading a thread here and the guy said to remove the stock filter and cover the hole with screen door mesh, does that really work? my son will not be riding in the pits...really only in the back yard, some packed dirt but mostly grass...
ok, so i get home from a 2-1/5 hr. drive home to a package from minipocketrockets.com....yeah baby it's my boy's clutch!!!
well, not really (see picture)...not the one i ordered anyway!!!
can this work with his quad?
do i need to return it?
the original clutch on the quad -> inside bolt/screw for sprocket was flush (bottom pic)
new clutch -> bolt/screw extend out (top pic)
(see picture attached)
i put the new one on without bolting it on and it didn't seem to be a problem...am i over thinking this?
we are talking a couple of threads here, correct? if it doesn't hit the center bolt, I don't believe it should be a problem, as long as the entire assembly sits flush, and turns freely.
sorry, i think i'm all over the place...
still talking about the clutch ordered...
i was told on this thread to order a clutch along with clutch bell...but they sent the wrong clutch and then when i saw the bell i was even more concerned...
ok...so, in your opinion as long as the bell doesn't hit it should be ok?
thanks again for your patience!!
